Friday night flag.
Built for kids.
Sixteen years of community youth flag football in Yorba Linda. No tryouts, balanced teams, and a league your kid actually wants to come back to.
The League
A non-profit youth flag football program serving Yorba Linda, Anaheim Hills, and Placentia.
Built by parents, for kids. Real games, balanced teams, no tryouts.
We started AFL because we wanted a league our own kids could grow up in. One where every child plays real minutes, coaches are trained, and parents don't have to memorize a politics chart to get their kid on a team.
The formula hasn't changed. No tryouts. Balanced teams. Football from August through October. Seven divisions, K through 8th grade, including all-girls.
If your kid has never touched a football, they belong here. If your kid lives and breathes it, they belong here too. That's the whole idea.
Sign-up to kickoff.
Every step has a clear status and a clear date - so you always know where your player stands.
Register
Player info, uniform size, and optional coach or teammate requests. First-come, first-served. Spots fill fast.
Pay
Cash, check, or money order. We post every payment to your dashboard. Once it lands, your spot is locked in.
Get Placed
Team formation kicks off in late May. We balance every team by grade, school, QBs, and coach requests, then coaches reach out by June.
Opening Night
Practices start in July, then Friday-night lights flip on at Esperanza HS in August.
What's Different.
We rebuilt the backend so parents get more clarity and coaches get more time back.
Clear Registration Status
Submitted → payment received → payment applied → roster assigned. Every step is dated in your parent dashboard, so you're never guessing whether your envelope made it.
Smarter Waitlist
If a division fills, you get instant confirmation that you're on the waitlist, plus an email update if your spot changes or a roster opens. No silence, no chasing the league for status.
Smarter Team Formation
Our formation tooling balances grade, school, quarterbacks, and coach requests in hours instead of days, which means more balanced teams and better games.
Game-Day Reminders
Email reminders ahead of opening night and balance prompts during the season, so families don't lose track of what's due and when.
